The Oblique Dwelling
The Oblique Dwelling

Found in a place where insecurity reigns, the challenge of conceiving a dwelling as a protective instance in the open country is paradoxically evident.
The house was designed in a refined style, with the utmost attention to its construction. Perhaps for that reason, the act of hiding its proper name (LA) reveals the strategy of imagining it not as singular work, but as the continuation of activities that mobilize the resources available in an anonymous place in order to raise it up as an instrument against the weather.
The house is a plan, it is slanted and folded to improve and expand its inertia and increase its resistance. It appears to float, with simple closures and elementary coverage. The building, made by many, was a challenge and stands as a testimony of gestures to the shelter. It conceives material as matter and from this freedom, deploys its actions.
