All construction photos: National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Chile
Hariri Pontarini Architects' competition-winning design for a temple for the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of Chile is under construction on the outskirts of Santiago.
Hariri Pontarini Architects' design consists of nine wing-like shells that are covered in custom glass panels on the outside and translucent marble panels on the inside, with the goal of admitting filtered daylight during the day and glowing like a lantern at night. The beautiful project is being thoroughly documented by the client on their website; here we highlight a few recent photos of the construction process. The temple is expected to be completed in 2016.
