The career of Manuel Ruisánchez has been progressing ever since its beginning along two parallel paths, the professional and the academic.
He has been a member of the Department of Urbanism and Territorial Administration at the Catalonia Polytechnic University since 1982; Professor of Landscape Architecture at the ‘Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallés’ (ETSAV) between 1982 and 1992; Professor of Urbanism at the ETSAB since 1992 and Professor of Master of Landscape Program since 1991. Manuel has also been a Visiting Professor of the Washington University of Saint Louis (1994 and 1996) and Harvard University (2000), and Professor at the Landscape Master program of the ‘Università IUAV di Venezia’ in Venice, Italy since 2007. Architect in the Projects Department of the Barcelona Metropolitan Corporation between 1985 and 1989. Co-Founder of Ruisánchez - Vendrell between 1988 and 1997.
Founder of Ruisánchez Arquitectes in 1997. Since the beginning of his professional career, he has received recognition and honorable mentions for his work. He has won numerous competitions in the fields of Architectural design, City Planning and Landscape. His work has been extensively published by a diversity of media and specialized publications within Spain as well as worldwide.
