Redevelopment of a bathing hall.
The conversion of the bathing hall has not only extended the choice of bathing opportunities offered by the VitaSol thermal baths but has also created an atmosphere that encourages well-being and relaxation. Transparent, smooth transitions coupled with warm materials, powerful shades of colour and special light effects give the bathing hall its distinctive character. Formative element is a wooden lamellar structure serves as continuous ceiling and wall panelling which interconnects the entrance, restaurant, bathing hall and the outdoor area. This wooden structure encompasses the whole interior and is flowing with soft, curved forms along the edges of the bathing hall. A shimmering rain cloud hovers in the large hall volume, releasing a powerful, warm summer rain over the "rain field". This floating element was especially designed for this project by 4a Architekten in cooperation with a lighting designer and an artist. It forms a striking feature in the bathing hall, on the one hand with its powerful showers of rain emptying from the cloud and, on the other hand, with its play of light in bold colours. This dynamic lighting gives the bathing hall a lively and friendly atmosphere.
