Politico Magazine presents a portrait of Southern Californian architect Teddy Cruz, who "has a new way of developing cities ... drawing inspiration from an unlikely place just across the border from his home in San Diego."
The seven-minute video is part of Politico's What Works series, which features "innovative ideas—and how they spread—from cities across the United States at a time of unprecedented urban reinvention." Most of the videos focus on particular cities, like New Orleans or Newark, but Teddy Cruz is considered an "urban innovator" for his work that addresses scale, density, construction, poverty and social relationships in Tijuana and beyond.
