German artist Thorsten Brinkmann has filled the Rice University Art Gallery with his distincly odd self-portraits but also detritus from Houston that creates hidden spaces, including a cinema built inside a shipping crate and a small tunnel that leads to a secret bedroom.

This short film from Walley Films follows Brinkmann around Houston as he finds materials for his exhibition, The Great Cape Rinderhorn, while also revealing how he set up the installation and giving a peek at the visual and spatial surprises that await visitors to the Rice University Art Gallery.
