Aufgabe
Neugestaltung eines Juweliers München, Okt 2014 - Feb 2015

…addore stands for desire or add-ore, adding something - why not a little bit of gold?

A small space in the very best location in Munich’s city center becomes a sanctuary for exquisit jewelry from all over the world. A staging was needed, a reversion of habitual sight, a grand gesture which centers everything and steers the visitor’s focus towards the jewelry.
Since jewels are always worn directly on the skin, the chosen material for this store turned out to be skin as well - natural-colored leather. It covers the central structure of the drop, which grows from the ceiling’s center into the room. Its surface is fanned out into 236 finite elements, which are individually connected with one another by leather ties.
The surrounding stays discreet in shades of gray, while the pieces are presented in brightly lit display cabinets. The round cutouts on the wall as well as the plates in the vitrines focus on precision and play with the strictness of the interior.
