Interior renovation project for a bakery in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. The kitchen and sales floor were considered equivalent, and a large table-like platform was inserted between them. This table can be used as a display for bread, a cash register space, a work space for slicing and kneading bread, and can be developed in various ways depending on the amount of bread produced, while the owner can always keep track of the store's situation. As a result, this table creates an openness like a visit to a bread workshop, and creates communication between the buyer and the baker, creating a rich shopping space that can produce a dynamic process from baking to selling bread.
