The ‘Champions’ is a real sports bar!

After extensive renovations, the ‘Champions’ in the Marriott Hotel Munich is now open to its international clientele with a new design and food concept. American spirit meets Bavarian hospitality here. After the Greatroom (the lobby) had already been realised as a joint project in 2023, BRUMANN took over the entire planning of the interior design and technical trades for the ‘Champions’ - Marriott's sports bar brand - and was responsible for the complete fit-out in autumn 2024.

The final design by BRUMANN combines elements of a traditional sports bar with modern industrial-style materials. Expanded metal, for example, was used as a recurring design element in the ceiling, railings and bar. The lockers, which resemble those in a sports changing room, are also designed in the industrial style look. Natural materials such as solid wood, upholstered furniture in warm colours and muted wall colours are used as a contrast to the metals and at the same time as a harmonious addition.

To ensure successful storytelling, BRUMANN organised numerous authentic sports pictures, signed jerseys of various sports stars, accessories, original newspaper articles and nostalgic sports equipment at various auctions and through personal contacts, creating an exclusive feeling throughout the ‘Champions’. In addition to these highlights, BRUMANN was also responsible for the entire kitchen and bar planning, the media technology for the three large screens and ten TV monitors and, last but not least, the lighting design for the right atmosphere together with our partners.

With a modern interior, almost 130 different seating options such as cosy niches and large community tables, as well as stylish lighting, BRUMANN has created an open, inviting atmosphere that is an ideal meeting place for anyone who wants to spend time with friends, family or colleagues in a relaxed environment in a real sports bar.
