During five months of project planning and construction, a new, inviting foyer with reception office, meeting and collaboration zone was created on around 415 square metres. Various newly interpreted building elements create a direct link to Holcim's products.
The wooden structure forms the centre of the space. It divides the space into the different zones without losing the quality of an open room design. In addition, the building fits in functionally on every side: The glass front facing the entrance shows the interior; the reception office, towards the collaboration zone a kitchenette is built in, on the side there are built-in cupboards and at the back the internal post office is integrated. The wood panelling creates a friendly atmosphere and makes the reference to concrete formwork panels.
Over seven metres long and one metre high, the planted gabion with the Holcim logo defines the central aisle. The rebar serves as a room divider to the collaboration zone and at the same time as an exhibit holder for Holcim building materials. With seating and screens, the collaboration zone is also the starting point or meeting point for guided tours and training sessions.
The spacious, newly equipped boardroom and an additional meeting room are also integrated into the area.
The Aroma Architecture team worked hand in hand with the client from the interior design and lighting design to the construction management. In addition, various individual buildings and wall coverings were created in the workshops of Aroma Productions.
