The one-story house was designed on a 100 tsubo (860 m2) site, and while taking privacy into consideration, four gardens of different sizes were scattered throughout the interior. The garden is located on the street from the approach to the entrance, a large center court facing the living/dining room and bedrooms, a tsuboniwa garden between the guest room and water area, and a rooftop garden equipped with solar panels. The garden is located on the rooftop and is equipped with solar panels. By viewing the different qualities of the garden from every location, one can confront nature while living in the house, experience light and wind throughout the day and night, and savor the seasons throughout the year.
