ICONIC SOLUTIONS
With one of the largest and most innovative stands at the ISH 2017, Kaldewei once again presented themselves as the sector’s leading premium producer. SCHMIDHUBER took the central creative inspiration of rays of light and developed it into a multi-level design experience. The main structure is light and delicate, creating a space that is simple and open. The brand communication, digital and analog, develops the concept of The Cloud in different directions. In the stand’s central courtyard, the installation Fractal Cloud by artist Arik Levy forms the heart of the exhibit, surrounded by the Product Cloud, Digital Cloud and Sound Cloud to form a coherent experience including design, art and technology.
PRISMATIC ARCHITECTURE
The design of the booth is minimal and yet impactful. Black walls are interrupted by bright light features and brass-colored elements, dividing the space up into different areas. These prismatic lines continue across the floor, playing with ideas of orientation and connection. Custom-made sound installations in each of the five product areas meet and merge in the lounge area into one coherent and immersive soundscape.
DIGITAL CLOUD
The bathroom of the future reacts to each person’s individual needs, and visitors to the ISH can experience this luxury for themselves using augmented reality. SCHMIDHUBER developed an App to reveal the unseen interior of the products on display and allow visitors to scroll through design and color options in real time.
FRACTAL CLOUD
Kaldewei are continuing to collaborate with top artists in 2017. The light installation Fractal Cloud is a floating cloud of light at the center of the atrium, acting as a physical interpretation of the key concepts of transparency, innovation, connectivity and pure design.
PRODUCT CLOUD
At the heart of the product presentation are groundbreaking shower solutions including Nextsys, a next-generation barrier-free shower pan with a groutless enamel finish. New products on display include examples from the newest line: enameled-steel washbasins with Kaldewei’s unique design flair and delicate outline.
