»Advising institutional investors« - The new office of the consulting company is located in a historic industrial building in the Taunus region. This brick hall, had been refurbished a few years previously.
The massive, compact main body of the building, which had been designed in the style of »Neues Bauen«, was remodeled: The new design aligns with both the corporate identity and the functional requirements of its new owners, but also preserves the historic charm of a revitalised industrial architecture.
The maritime metaphors were chosen consciously: The company identifies with the sport of sailing,
and its necessary characteristics of reliability, teamwork, dynamism and trust.
These essential values translate into an open, transparent architecture, both internally and externally. Exclusive, but unobtrusive materials underline the solidity and high standards of the company, and fit the historic building harmoniously. The CI colours blue and white invigorate and energize the interior design throughout. The interior design vocabulary is straightforward – not only adapting the forms of the former hall well, but also representing the way the company work: sailing on a straight course. The design elements of the building evoke associations with sailing, as for example "desk sails" at the work desks (which are also acoustically effective), as well as the long white sideboards attached to the desks, which are reminiscent of jetties. Large format luminescent images with sailing motifs reinforce this theme throughout the impressive two-storey main hall of the building.
In effect, the architecture achieves a highly individual appearance: a symbiosis of industrial charm and
a modern presentation of spaces, a place both representative and sustainable – which comes together not only as a functional benefit to, but also as a true reflection of the team and its customers.
