Most of the participating architects in "Architecture for Dogs" are from Japan—such as Kazuyo Sejima, Toyo Ito, Shigeru Ban, Kengo Kuma, Atelier Bow-Wow, and project director Kenya Hara—so it's fitting that the final leg of the project's world tour takes place at TOTO's Gallery MA in Tokyo from 25 October to 21 December.
World-Architects first learned about "Architecture for Dogs"—a project of the Hara Design Institute that enlisted 13 architects to create 13 pieces of architecture for different breeds—about a year ago when we featured a cute short film about the project. Most of the participating architects are from Japan—such as Kazuyo Sejima, Toyo Ito, Shigeru Ban, Kengo Kuma, Atelier Bow-Wow, and project director Kenya Hara—so it's fitting that the final leg of the project's world tour takes place at TOTO's Gallery MA in Tokyo from 25 October to 21 December. Pictured is the "territory" Haruka Misawa of Hara Design Institute designed for Japanese terriers. The suspended piece is called "a house without walls" and is made from just one sheet of paper that is cut, folded, and suspended from the ceiling.
