For the 2015 Times Square Valentine Heart Design, an invited competition organized by the Times Square Arts and the Architectural League of New York, the winner Stereotank installed an urban drum in the form of a heart.
World-Architects visited yesterday, the day before Valentine's Day, and even though the cold February weather couldn't keep people out of Times Square, only a few people interacted with HeartBeat's drums and xylophone that resonate in the hollow body. At night, the heart glows to the rhythm of the drumming, turning the installation into an interactive sculpture of sound and light.
