The Fundació Mies van der Rohe and Creative Europe have announced the nine finalists, culled from thirty shortlisted projects, competing for the inaugural Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA). Three winners will be announced at a ceremony in Venice on 28 October 2016.
The unveiling of the nine finalists comes two weeks after the 30-strong shortlist was announced for the inaugural award that aims to "support the talent of recently graduated architects, urban planners and landscape architects who will be responsible for transforming our environment in the future." More than 200 projects from over 100 European schools were submitted this summer, and three of them will be announced as winners in eight days.
Each of the nine finalists is highlighted below with an image and a link to their project. To see their projects in full, as well as the rest of the 30 shortlisted projects, head over to the YTAA page on our platform. World-Architects is proud to be the Founding Partner of the YTAA.
The YTAA awards ceremony will take place at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale in Venice on 28 October 2016. Registration details can be found here.
