The Multipurpose hall is a part of the campus town plan. It was built for cultural events and lifetime learning opportunities.
The sound insulating double glass wall is placed behind the seats that are aligned in an arc.
The L-shaped corridor is outside of this wall.
However, open space is created between the corridor and the wall by separating foundations. This alley like space insulates sound and conditions lights and air. By this complete sound insulation, passers-by can look into the hall as if it is a courtyard. It even allows families with small children to enjoy the event, which encourage more cultural activities. Furthermore, the area outside of the hall is designed to be one with area in front of buildings and the tree-lined main street. Joyous atmosphere of the hall can be shared by more people as the hall is visible from the surrounding area.
This could lead to area revitalization which is one of the purposes of having this hall.
