- Archistar: who are the world protagonists of architecture and design
-
In the field of architecture and design, influencers are called Archistars
The term “Archistar” was coined to describe architects and designers who are world-famous, admired, revered and paid like a star of entertainment. To return to Treccani's technical definition, it is "a neologism coined a few years ago by Gabriella Lo Ricco and Silvia Micheli, scholars of contemporary architecture, to define architects to whom the caliber of the media has given the characteristics of a star.
Archistar can have a significant impact on consumer choices, as their followers often seek to emulate their projects and design choices. Furthermore, they can also influence the architecture and design industry, as their opinions and design choices can become trends followed by other industry professionals.

Mangrove Place is a tower residential complex built on Reem Island, new development of the City of Abu Dhabi.
The step terraced development of the tower made it possible to create a one-of-a-kind shape in Abu Dhabi. The stepped shape made it possible to break the monotony of the closed glass skyscraper area of Al Reem Island and at the same time to have apartments with panoramic terraces overlooking the sea.
The trend of the superimposed terraces also allows canceling the sense of vertigo that occurs on towers of such height and gives the apartments of the headroom an excellent livability, unique for the city of Abu Dhabi.
The building, mainly intended for the western expats market, is spread over 29 floors above ground, 2 of which are on the podium, with 3 levels of underground parking spaces that can hold up to 600 parking spaces, for a total area of about 80,000 square meters.

In the new club, luxury and comfort bear the signature of UPA Italia by Paolo Lettieri Architects and UPA, an international architecture firm with offices in Milan and Abu Dhabi. The main architect of the studio and co-founder is the Italian architect Paolo Lettieri. This elegant and luxurious structure represents an oasis of well-being and relaxation for women, but above all, it speaks to us of a culture, the Arab one, which sees women, by tradition and religion, strictly separated from men. It is well known that in Middle Eastern society the life of men and women is clearly divided and distinct: all houses have two living rooms, one for men and the other for women; at school, women study separately from the opposite sex and public places also have waiting rooms for women only.
If in everyday life the separation between the sexes could perhaps represent for the eyes of Westerners an exclusion of women from a male chauvinist society, the Ladies Club becomes a privileged place par excellence for women. A club where women from an elite by social and economic position can experience, in complete privacy and confidentiality, all the pleasures of luxury, body care and relaxation.
The project was started in 2008 with the first sketches of the concept of the architect Paolo Lettieri, who in addition to the Club House project, has been involved in the design of many internal areas over time. The designers of the entire complex also include the architect Aswan Zubaidi, the interior designer Sahar A. Yousif and australian architect Tony Owen.

The new university campus will be built in Al Qasim, near Babylon in Iraq. The project includes five colleges (agriculture, veterinary, biotechnology, food production and environmental technologies) and all the buildings necessary for their operation, including the canteen, the sports center, the student hostel, the houses for the staff and professors, the veterinary hospital, greenhouses, stables etc..
The campus is organized like an ancient city: in the center there is the main square surrounded by the most representative buildings such as the presidency, the library, the auditorium and the mosque, then the various colleges; outside the "city walls", the ellipse-shaped road that formally defines the "citadel", the fields with animals and other services. The interior of the ellipse is organized on several levels: the idea, already present in Leonardo's sketches, has been explored several times as an urban planning solution in numerous projects. - lire plus

- The world is moving towards super luxury
-
It shows no signs of slowing down even in times of crisis. It grows in all markets, albeit in different forms, and adapts to every style, from minimal to baroque. The ultra-exclusive design is the segment of the future.
The super luxury furniture market is the best performing in the world, it is not affected by the crisis, on the contrary, it stands out precisely because, even in periods of economic and political difficulty, it continues to grow. It is aimed at a target with large budgets who wish to 'show off' their status symbols. It is a market that focuses on the exclusivity of the product, but above all of the service, including after-sales. Brand, aesthetics, quality, uniqueness, design, service: these are the distinctive elements. The priority of one element over the other varies, then, based on the geographical area.
