CAT Regional Headquarters + Training Facility
- 場所
CAT Regional Headquarters + Training Facility is a 30,000 SF facility for the world's largest construction equipment manufacturer. To help CAT better serve their customers and support their team, NANO designed two buildings on its seven-acre campus for both full-time team members and visiting executives. Our focus: improving efficiency and promoting employee wellbeing with cutting-edge materials and flexible new spaces.
The 6,000 SF administrative building houses a training facility and offices as well as a breakroom, conference room, and logistics office. Connected to this structure via a covered walkway is a 24,000-square-foot maintenance facility housed in a pre-engineered metal structure. A large outdoor area provides storage for generators and power supply banks, all of which CAT must quickly deploy during and after storms. The new, flexible storage spaces will help the company deliver the products more efficiently and effectively.
We designed the building around meaningful outdoor spaces where employees and visitors can decompress or enjoy a quiet moment, including an enclosed courtyard accessible from the breakroom and a private executive terrace for holding meetings.
We ensured the new administrative building prioritized employee health, wellbeing, and productivity. Large windows throughout the building's common areas provide ample daylight and views of the surrounding landscape.
Wood finishes and exposed structural elements give the interior spaces a warm and casual feeling. Using cutting-edge engineered wood products like Glulam and Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT), we eliminated the need for drop ceilings, creating a more holistic atmosphere that reinforces the connection with nature. Inside and out, the entire complex balances the character of a hospitality project with the needs of a modern office. From training employees to hosting corporate events to improving emergency response, CAT's headquarters will help the company build a stronger community.
