The Louisiana Channel has posted an interview with Chinese architect Wang Shu, the subject of the exhibition The Architect's Studio: Wang Shu - Amateur Architecture Studio on display at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art until the end of April.
Wang Shu, who is one half of Amateur Architecture Studio with his wife Lu Wenyu, speaks honestly in the 20-minute interview about democracy, Chinese development, history, the responsibility of architects, and his ideal project: a public toilet for a rural Chinese village. The interview is as worthwhile as the exhibition.
