TGP / TEGA Pond Cafe Stand
Abiko-City, Chiba, Japan
- Location
- Abiko-City, Chiba, Japan
- Year
- 2022
This project was selected through a P-PFI project in Teganuma Park through a public bidding process. The existing store is adjacent to Teganuma Park and is a satellite store of Yoshioka Tea House, which attracts many customers not only from the surrounding area but also from far away. Here, while Yoshioka Chabo will be the default, several owners will open stores, changing daily.
The concept of the plan is that “the entire park is a café,” and the café will spread throughout the entire park, rather than being completed by the store alone, which will lead to a synergistic effect on the park.
It is our hope that the café will not be a complete café, but rather an unfinished architectural structure that will coexist with the park, and that because of its incomplete architecture, people will use it with ingenuity and ingenuity, and that the natural environment and the rich natural setting of Teganuma Park will be respected once again, making the café a more beloved place.
