Trunk

Trunk is a menswear store from London that has been standing for a contemporary style since 2010. A skilful combination of service and curated products makes every visit to the shop a personal experience. Owner Mats Klingberg inspires customers with fashion and accessories from international brands, his own label and a men’s tailor studio. After shops in London and Hong Kong, Trunk also opened its doors in Zurich 2018.

The design for Trunk‘s Zurich store is characterized by a clever and efficient use of the available space. Trunk literally means “suitcase”. Based on the classic suitcase, a wooden room sculpture combines the functions of a cash register, a changing room, a wardrobe and a folding triple mirror. Accessories from all over the world are presented on a large display table with two levels.

The warm, cozy atmosphere is created by a mix of oak wood with dark vintage furniture, a sisal floor and dark green fabrics. The “Porter” shelving system, designed by MACH for the London stores, was of course also applied. For Zurich MACH developed a new flexible wooden wall, which enables a constantly changing arrangement of shelves and thus always stages highlights in a new and exciting way.
