Surface of a new urban lagoon, whose levels change with dry and rainy seasons, created on the ruins of an unused shopping mall in the center of Tainan Spring, Taiwan: 54,600 m²
The lagoon is "surrounded by young plants that will develop into a lush jungle, reconnecting the city with nature and its waterfront." (Photo: Daria Scagliola)
Commissioned by the Urban Development Bureau of the Tainan City Government, the urban lagoon is part of a masterplan that aims to "to unify the site of the former China Town Mall and a kilometer-long stretch of the city’s Haian Road."
