Street art, industrial influence and minimalism combine to form Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) new Melbourne CBD office, designed by Gray Puksand.
The 1200sm space on the 22nd level was stripped to a bare shell and is now characterized by an industrial inspired palette of raw materials, exposed concrete, flexible walls and strong, pure spaces.
The "community gathering" studio environment reflects the outstanding team and unique culture at WGE, while still being a practical modern office which successfully incorporates the iconic local area, Melbourne’s graffiti laneways.
Inspired by Melbourne's rich laneway culture, Gray Puksand collaborated with eight street artists to produce a colourful 25-linear-meter mural for the fit out. A branded WGE light installation welcomes visitors on arrival, fluoro yellow air vents contrast with a white ceiling, and the bar area overlooks the city skyline, bringing a cosmopolitan feel.
